Mostai is a new padel club in Vilnius, Lithuania, redefining what a sports club can be. Rather than operating as an insular arena for competition, it positions itself as an open club—a space for sport, conversation, rest, and shared experiences. Alongside its courts, Mostai offers a kids’ academy, physiotherapy sessions, film evenings, and degustation dinners. This mix of activities turns community into the core of the brand designed by Lithuanian And studio. The name, taken from a casual Lithuanian expression for a racket swing, reinforces effortlessness and ease, signalling that the club is as much about social connection as sport.
Padel’s rapid growth risked importing the exclusivity common in other sports clubs, where access depends on status or networks. Mostai needed a brand that countered that pattern. The identity had to communicate openness, warmth, and inclusivity while capturing the sport’s dynamic energy. It also had to function across physical and digital touchpoints—from court signage and interior materials to cultural events—supporting both sporting and social dimensions of the club.
The creative concept draws on padel’s southern roots. Originating in 1960s Mexico and spreading through Spain’s Costa del Sol in the 1970s, padel began as a leisure-driven, social game. Mostai’s identity channels that sunlit history through warm Mediterranean colours, nostalgic two-tone illustrations, and patterns inspired by 1970s leisure culture. The logo’s bold lettering and stylised “M,” with lines suggesting a racket’s swing, convey movement and vitality. Typography recalls vintage sports posters and holiday postcards, balancing energy with a relaxed, welcoming character. This design language extends seamlessly into interiors—earthy tiles, plants, and southern club motifs—creating a cohesive environment that supports both play and conviviality.
