Jingqi Fan presents Nikolas Type, the independent foundry of Nikolas Wrobel, with fitting typographic poise. The interface is deliberately spare, a soft off-white ground, a sturdy sans wordmark and acres of quiet space, so that the type specimens carry the show. Three families are set large and expressive: the flowing Grand Slang, the high-contrast display cut Cosi Azure spelling out ‘Lapis Lazuli. Ruby. Obsidian.’, and the sharp Cosi Times. Each specimen is left to perform at full size, turning the homepage into a gallery of letterforms. It is a disciplined, confident study in type design and typography.
