Explose, an independent digital agency, designed its own website with a relaxed, human touch. The Explose site opens on a deep charcoal background with a clean, generous introduction set in a friendly geometric sans-serif, in which the studio looks back on ten years of crafting websites. Below, a row of candid office photographs in varying sizes and offsets – a table-tennis match, focused work at the screen, a chat in a hammock surrounded by plants – runs across the page like a filmstrip. The minimal navigation, just a tiny “e” mark and a menu icon, leaves all the space for people and atmosphere. It is a warm and honest piece of web design that puts the team behind the work in the spotlight.
