Gabriela Baka gives Fictional Journal the poise of a printed art magazine translated to the web. A soft grey ground and a restrained masthead, ‘Fictional Journal — Issue 03’, let an enormous black headline, ‘Yeah Damn.’, land with real weight. The feature interviews the AI influencers Lil Miquela and Blawko, and their world spills in through overlapping photographs, neon-lit arcade glow and a saturated yellow storefront, cropped into offset frames. The measured column of intro text on the right keeps the layout grounded while the imagery does the shouting. It is confident digital editorial design carried by big, assured typography.
