Mindsparkle Mag
Kevin van der Wijst, a digital designer based in Valencia, greets visitors to his portfolio with an explosion of colour. Large white type states his name and role over a collage of bold shapes in cobalt blue, sky blue, orange and warm beige. Beneath it, playful illustrated landscapes unfold: striped yellow and orange ridges, a coral-pink terrain traced with fine red contour lines, a red polka-dot hill and a sweeping black-and-white striped slope. Two rounded pill buttons, About and Connect, sit quietly in the bottom corners and keep the navigation as simple as it can be. It is a joyful piece of web design in which illustration does all of the talking.
