Funs Kurstjens & Jonas Pelzer built BAM Photographers & Directors as a portfolio that lets the imagery do the talking, framed by crisp red monospace navigation reading News, BAM and Index. Their grid of automotive and lifestyle photography — sleek Volvo shoots staged on rooftops and in raw concrete — is punctuated by oversized outlined display type spelling “V60LA,” a bold editorial device that overlaps the pictures with real swagger. The all-white background and single accent red give the layout a confident, gallery-like calm, a lesson in restrained art direction.
