Athfields Architects

Athfields Architects makes a bold, typographic statement with this stark black-and-white site for the New Zealand practice. Elegant light italics and condensed capitals carry manifesto-like lines such as ‘Architecture has a social responsibility’ and ‘Ideas that change people & place’, while fields of tiny hand-drawn slash marks add texture between sections. High-contrast monochrome photography and an oversized ‘06.40’ project number give the layout a confident, editorial rhythm. It is striking, type-driven typography and editorial design that feels every bit as considered as the architecture it presents. Visit Athfields Architects to see more.
