Casa Olivi Treia Italy

The 300 year old Casa Olivi is located in Treia, Tuscany in Italy. Its renovated by 2 swiss architects Markus Wespi and Jerome de Meuron. Protected by the Italian Cultural and Historic Administration, the façade was maintained and restored after a fire in 1995 has destroyed most of the house, while the interiors were completely refurbished. The villa was converted is now used as a vacation residence along with a guest house and an swimming pool, overlooking the countryside. The design language is elegantly understated, with light, airy interiors and straight lines. The furniture has been designed by the architects themselves with additional interior pieces from Vitra and Philippe Stark. Photographed by Hannes Henz.
