Seoul studio Rebel9 takes an experimental, playful approach with the Waumap Project. Against a transparent checkerboard canvas, a warped, almost melting three-dimensional render of a streetscape floats beside columns of Korean type that scroll like a restless marquee. A pill-shaped WAUMAP badge and a pixelated pink icon nod to an early-web, glitch aesthetic that feels deliberately raw and energetic. The distortion and motion turn what could be a simple map into a curious, tactile interactive experience. It is a spirited piece of WebGL-flavoured experimentation from a studio clearly enjoying itself.
