Kaisha Murzamadiyeva

Kaisha Murzamadiyeva, a Kazakh graphic designer based in New York, brings a quiet, index-style clarity to her portfolio, where a plainly set list of projects sits against generous white space and lets the work speak. The standout is Ornek, a display typeface for the newly proposed Kazakh Latin alphabet whose rounded, looping letterforms feel warm and almost handwritten. Its specimen posters glow in vivid reds and pinks, drawing directly on the vibrant colours and ornamental patterns of traditional Kazakh felt rugs. The restrained black-on-white interface, punctuated by a single green highlight, keeps all the attention on this expressive type design. It is a lovely example of typography carrying cultural memory into a contemporary web presence.
