Jack Brain

Jack Brain gathers a run of quietly confident work into one of the most disciplined portfolios we have seen in a while. Each project — Kelham Island Concrete, The Cut-Up Method, Tangram, Orinoco Flow — sits on a deep black canvas as a single reduced composition, from stark geometric marks to a minimal sunset scene in sky-blue, red and yellow. Small, understated captions and tidy pagination let the imagery carry the page, and the restraint gives the whole thing an almost gallery-like calm. It is a lovely study in how far pared-back typography and negative space can go. Simple, considered and beautifully paced web design.
