Antwerp studio ssnn gives the first Antwerp Poster Festival a fittingly graphic, high-contrast identity. Enormous black grotesque type stacks up the words Antwerp Poster Festival – Show Your Colours against a plain white ground, with an abstract black form and a single call to Submit Your Poster. The long single-page scroll runs cleanly through the open call, jury, practical info and submission form without losing its confident, no-frills tone. Monochrome restraint makes the festival feel serious about design while leaving room for entrants to bring the colour. It is punchy typography in service of a poster celebration.
