A team of Ukrainian designers — Ivan Mavrytiuk, Julia Shulgina, Lera Rosinskaya, Ruslan Rybalka, Nikita Metlitsky and Maks Stepenko — created The Other Side of Truth, a powerful awareness project documenting the Russia–Ukraine war. The palette speaks first: a gradient from sky blue to bright yellow echoes the Ukrainian flag, while enormous fractured letterforms spelling “UKR” sprawl across the screen with raw, monumental force. A precise index of chapters — from “Beginning” and “War in Numbers” to “Support” — and a live counter of days at war ground the emotion in sober fact. The bold, editorial typography and considered interactive design turn a difficult subject into a dignified, deeply moving experience. It stands as a reminder of how thoughtfully design can carry a message that truly matters.
