Nelson Vassalo is a visual and interaction designer from Lisbon, now based in Brooklyn and studying at Parsons as a Fulbright scholar. His portfolio opens on a near-black midnight canvas where a single generative graphic — a sweeping arc of blue filaments tipped with a flare of red — hums against the darkness. Electric blue links and tight, understated lettering keep the interface minimal and moody, letting that one animated flourish carry the entire mood. It is a restrained but atmospheric piece of interactive design and web design that trusts negative space to do the work.
