Hamburg-based freelance designer Patrick Romer keeps things refreshingly spare in this portfolio under the banner ‘webdesign nordish by nature.’ A clean white page and bold black sans-serif type carry the whole experience, with selected projects — fishheads, raw tracks, rickert, gut royum, wrapper nord — revealed as oversized headlines over softly faded background imagery. A single crisp photograph of fishing lures nods to the northern, maritime theme. It is a minimal, typographic piece of web design, where confident typography and plenty of breathing room do all the work.
