Berlin creative office Farbe., run by Danny Schuster and Melisa Karakus, introduces itself with striking economy: bold white grotesque type set large against pure black. The commanding Farbe. wordmark bookends the page, framing services, an A-to-Z ‘Arbeitsweise’ scale and a long, impressive client roster that runs from Deutsche Bank to VICE Media. Small, cheeky illustrated characters dart between the columns, softening the stark monochrome with a wink of humour. It is a disciplined study in typography and branding, proof that a studio can say a great deal with little more than a confident typeface and a lot of black space.
