Takumi Obayashi crafted this wonderfully offbeat personal site for illustrator EMI OZAKI, and it is bursting with character. An acid-yellow field covered in black comic-style doodles of hands, spaghetti and food frames a central smartphone mockup whose home screen is arranged like a playful app menu — Profile, Info, Works, Contact, Shop and Pin-Up icons sit above a green illustrated scene of a cactus character reading in an armchair. The hand-drawn ‘Emiozaki Web’ lettering and a speech bubble reading ‘In sickness and in health…’ give the whole thing a cheeky, storybook charm. It is a brilliant reminder that a portfolio can be as fun as the work it holds. Explore the live EMI OZAKI site for more of this illustration-led UI design.
