Caleb Barclay created this vibrant editorial microsite, Day of the Dead, celebrating the Mexican Día de los Muertos across a deep purple canvas. Glowing, illustrated cityscapes in gold, blue and orange frame the top and bottom of the page, while a decorative serif title and sugar-skull flourishes set a festive, storytelling mood. The content moves warmly through the holiday’s meaning — a timeline of Angelitos, Difuntos and Muertos, plus sections on calaveras, marigolds and ofrendas — mixing candlelit photography with playful illustration. It is a generous, richly coloured lesson in narrative web design. The charming illustration gives the whole tribute real warmth and life.
