Matthias Last / Studio Last designed this quietly elegant portfolio for photographer Christian Werner, and it treats the screen like the walls of a gallery. A deep black canvas surrounds a single portrait — a sitter poised in an ornate, sculptural black chair, mirrored in a reflective surface, with a soft pink Berlin façade glimpsed through the window — captioned simply “Agnes Gryczkowska (Berlin, 2021).” A refined centred serif logotype and a spare Index / Books / Editions / About menu let the imagery breathe with generous negative space.
