Chang Liu, a frontend developer and freelance photographer, welcomes visitors to this portfolio with a wave. At the centre of a soft light-grey screen floats a wireframe hand, drawn in fine black polygon lines and raised as if saying hello. A short introduction in the top left corner and a discreet “Click & Hold” prompt in the bottom right are the only other elements on the page. The prompt hints at an interaction waiting to be discovered, adding curiosity to the calm, minimal layout. Simple, clever and memorable – a neat blend of 3D and interactive design.
