Basic — Form

Basic — Form is a beautifully restrained portfolio for a Berlin furniture trio, designed by stoffers/steinicke. The site opens on a soft, gallery-like palette of off-white and warm grey, anchored by a photograph of a bright yellow letter A resting on a plywood-edged shelf beneath the line ‘Collect. Organize. Play.’ Airy whitespace, calm blue accent type and a tidy three-up product grid — Basic — Desk, Basic — Box and Basic — Board — let the furniture breathe. It is a lovely example of considered web design where typography and negative space do the talking. A warm, human touch arrives in the designers’ portrait and the closing Instagram strip.
