Founded by industry veterans behind iconic modern cinema, Filmhub is an all-rights film and TV distributor, representing everyone from Oscar legends to digital-first creators—connecting films with audiences worldwide. Driven almost entirely by word of mouth, Filmhub grew into one of the largest global distributors in just a few years. That growth came with misconceptions, and many saw Filmhub as a tech startup or an indie aggregator. STUDIO HERRSTRÖM partnered with Filmhub to redefine how the brand was seen, with the goal to design a visual identity that reflected Filmhub’s stature, credibility, and purpose, built on innovation and transparency.
The new identity emphasizes storytelling and the artistry behind every frame. In THE ECHO™ Immerse phase STUDIO HERRSTRÖM drew from the universal language of cinema. The symbol, inspired by the familiar gesture of filmmakers framing a scene by hand, embodies Filmhub’s role as a connector and its forward-looking perspective. Designed to frame the brand’s growing family of creative titles, the system lets each project be expressive while maintaining a clear link to the distributor. The logotype unites symbol and wordmark to ensure consistency across all applications.
The color palette draws from filmmaking itself—most notably the Braun Nizo S800 film camera, a modernist icon by Dieter Rams. Neutral tones of black, gray, and white ground the brand, while purposeful orange accents highlight key messages. Typography, led by Everett in Regular and Mono Medium, adds clarity and professionalism, while directional scaling introduces movement and focus.
Beyond the visual identity, STUDIO HERRSTRÖM continued to collaborate with Filmhub on their website, pitch decks, book design, and distribution tools. The new brand gave Filmhub the clarity to own its category and communicate its influence with confidence. It reestablished itself as a trusted authority in film distribution. Within six months of the rebrand and was named one of Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies of 2025.
More importantly, it reinforced Filmhub’s mission: to give filmmakers everywhere access to audiences without traditional gatekeepers. Moving the industry. Frame by frame.
“We allowed function to lead the way of the aesthetic experience, with solutions often emerging through simplification. By keeping purpose at the core, we created an identity that is both bold and forward-looking.”
