How Chiky&Cheky turns culture into character

Seoul-based STUDIO OKGO created Chiky&Cheky — the signature character of KOREAN STREET MARKET. Inspired by two symbolic elements, the rooster of France and Korean fried chicken, the duo merges cultural references into a bold brand identity with a red, blue, white, and black color system that reinterprets both the French flag and the Korean Taegeuk.

Rather than functioning as a mascot, Chiky&Cheky acts as a playful cultural symbol that naturally appears across packaging, graphics, signage, merchandise, and digital content — connecting the energy of Seoul with French street culture. The motion system, built in collaboration with THEO KIM and the studio team, gives the character design a vivid animated presence across every touchpoint.
