Vardama/u2122 is a fashion / technology start-up,/u00a0with a proprietary textile formula, making any/u00a0kind of fabric (such as cotton, silk, tinsel or linen)/u00a0repellent to all water-based liquids, such as/u00a0red wine, cranberry juice or sports drinks./u00a0At the same time the fabrics maintain/u00a0all vital/u00a0elements of modern day fabrics, such as their feel/u00a0and/u00a0breathability all while adding additional/u00a0moist-wicking features./u00a0
Christoph Ruprecht/u00a0had the opportunity to lead the brand from their/u00a0intermediate start-up look and feel to a mature/u00a0corporate design. Ruprecht aimed to/u00a0create an online shopping platform/u00a0that feels technically and visually sophisticated, yet being ground in minimalism - All at a small budget and using existing image material.
Vardama's logotype is 100% custom lettered and meticulously spaced, giving the brand a technical, futuristic, unapologetic and/u00a0luxurious feel. The idea was to create a durable modern classic that feels at home with the likes of Versace, Prada or Burberry, yet doesn't have millennial start-up written all over it.
Black, as the fashion-classic, is replaced with a set of silver-blue hues, emphasizing the tech-aspect of the brand, while making the brand lighter, futurist and still allowing for a whole range/u00a0of seasonal and campaign dependent splashes of color, throughout the minimalist make-up.
A clean architecture brings simplicity and ease into the design - understated typography and a simple modular grid/u00a0provide/u00a0the brand with room to grow and change due to putting/u00a0the biggest emphasis on the creation of/u00a0visual content.
