Since 1991, the UEA Live Literature Festival has been attracting world-class writers and thinkers to Norwich. It/u2019s here that formidable talents /u2013 such as Zadie Smith, Kazuo Ishiguro and Emma Healey, to name a few /u2013 have given lively interviews about their life and work to over six thousand book-lovers each year.
Ark were commissioned to take the Festival into its next chapter, with a powerful look designed to appeal to a whole new generation of literature fans.
Ark created the new logo using the curves of the UEA /u2018glint/u2019 to form the shape of an open book, giving a nod to the festival/u2019s history and setting, as well as literature. The logo is used dynamically and playfully across the brand to bring assets to life and is an ever-present in communications.
Together with a fresh, modern colour palette, and heavyweight type that calls to mind the university/u2019s famous Brutalist architecture, well-placed typographic animations bring the written word to life across all digital channels.
Ark oversaw the rollout of all launch assets, including brand guidelines, print collateral, motion graphics and website design.
