Voluptuous is a non-commercial passion project by Finesse Design Atelier, and it wears its artfulness openly. The design is dark, hushed and intimate, layering black-and-white fine-art photography inside offset frames that seem to float against near-black space. Elegant serif headings such as 'Fingers Upon Lips' and 'Her Mouth Was Chill' thread poetic fragments through the imagery, giving the page the feel of a slowly turned book. The heavy use of shadow and the restraint in the typography make the whole thing feel cinematic and editorial. It is a moody, sophisticated piece of web design where photography and type set an unmistakably sensual mood.
