Sagmeister & Walsh

Sagmeister & Walsh is a New York-based design firm whose portfolio site is every bit as expressive as the work it presents. The homepage opens on a candid photograph of the studio itself — a light-filled loft of tall arched windows and long rows of iMacs — before unfolding into a bold, colour-blocked grid of projects. Ornate calligraphic lettering sits beside saturated pop-art fashion photography in acid greens, electric blues and vivid reds, giving the page a fearless, playful energy. Crisp monospaced navigation and generous white space keep all that riotous imagery grounded, letting each piece breathe. It is a confident exercise in art direction that pairs striking typography with a warm, unmistakably human sense of humour.
