Red Architecture

New Zealand practice Red Architecture lets its buildings speak through a spare, photography-led portfolio on its site. An offset, generously spaced grid steps through interior and exterior shots — a bright timber stairway with a green runner, a black corrugated coastal house, a raw concrete studio with Eames chairs and a light-filled room framed by a teal doorway. The abundant white space and understated wordmark keep all attention on the architecture and the quality of the imagery. Nothing competes with the work; the layout simply frames each project cleanly and gets out of the way. It's a quietly confident piece of web design built almost entirely on strong photography.
