Build in Amsterdam created this refined online store for Mendo, the beloved Amsterdam book shop for design lovers. The design pairs crisp black-and-white editorial layouts with generous white space, letting each carefully photographed book breathe. Bold headlines like ‘Every book is a gift’ set a confident, curatorial tone, while highlight blocks for titles such as the Loewe Book and The Workshop read like pages of a well-made magazine. An ‘instastore’ grid and editorial stories round out a browsing experience that treats commerce as culture. It is a beautifully considered piece of web design with a strong editorial sensibility.
