Melissa Deckert greets visitors with a portfolio as playful and colourful as her work, laid out as a dense mosaic of projects on a soft blush-pink ground. The grid mixes hand-lettering, set-and-styled typography and bright illustration — florals spelling ‘Burst Forth,’ sand-cast letters reading ‘Everybody is Trying,’ a glitter-lidded portrait with scarlet lips — so that every tile feels like a small surprise. Bold books, murals and lettering pieces sit side by side, celebrating a multi-disciplinary maker who clearly delights in craft and material. The relentlessly cheerful palette and confident typography make the browsing itself a pleasure. It is a joyful showcase of illustration and design, online at melissadeckert.com.
