Joonas Virtanen

Joonas Virtanen is a strategic designer from Finland working between New York and Helsinki, and his personal site introduces him with real charm. The layout is almost entirely white and open, letting one big centred statement — "Strategy & Design" — carry the page. The clever twist is in the lettering: each character is filled with colourful, painterly textures, so the type doubles as artwork and gives the minimal composition an unexpected jolt of energy. A small "JV." serif monogram and a friendly "scroll down for good times" cue keep the tone light and personable. It's a smart, confident bit of web design where playful typography does the heavy lifting.
