Jonas Pelzer brings a big dose of fun to Fictional, a friendly and quirky display typeface introduced on this playful, comic-strip-inspired page. A warm peach backdrop frames the enormous black ‘Fictional’ wordmark, surrounded by cartoonish burst shapes shouting ‘Kabooom’, ‘Bang’, ‘New!’ and ‘Out Now’ in cheerful reds, yellows, greens and purples. Speech bubbles describe it as a typeface ‘with a cartoonesque character’, and small tags note five weights and a free trial, all adding to the energetic, toy-box mood. The rounded, bouncy letterforms and confident colour blocking make the specimen feel joyful and approachable. It is a delightful showcase of type design and expressive typography.
