Evan Tolleson

Evan Tolleson opens his personal portfolio on a stark black canvas where a live ticking clock and an “Updated on Sep. 13, 2018” line quietly frame the page as a work in progress. A single oversized statement, set in crisp white type, introduces the San Francisco designer and his focus on visual identity, editorial and packaging work, letting the words carry the entire composition. A small blossom-like mark in the top corner and a glimpse of a candy-pink gig poster peeking up from the lower right add a touch of warmth to the otherwise monochrome layout. It is a quietly assured piece of self-presentation that leans on generous space and confident typography rather than decoration. A restrained, editorial approach to web design that feels both personal and precise.
