Photographer Eiji Mima opens his portfolio, Eiji Mima Photography, with a single richly atmospheric still life: a handful of blueberries gathered in a translucent amber bowl on a worn wooden table. The low, moody lighting and shallow focus give the everyday subject a painterly, almost Old-Master gravity. A slim white header carrying a minimal “MM” monogram is the only interface, leaving the frame to fill the screen uninterrupted. The restraint is total, and it works — the image alone conveys the maker’s eye. It is a beautifully judged piece of photography and quiet art direction.
