Jordan Gilroy lets typography do all the talking on eighty®, a studio portfolio built almost entirely from oversized, screen-filling letterforms. A crisp grotesque sans is spliced with a graceful italic serif on the word “meaningful,” a small contrast that gives the manifesto “come together w/ brands to create meaningful experiences” real character. The palette is pure black on white, disciplined and confident, with slivers of warm project imagery just cresting the bottom edge to hint at the work below. Neat labels for web design, photography and animation quietly set out the studio’s remit without cluttering the composition. It is a polished exercise in typography and modern web design that trusts scale and space to carry the mood.
