These last days we've featured many cafe and restaurant branding designs. So, continuing with the gastronomic theme, today we're showcasing a packaging design that takes us to the land of the rising sun. Indeed, Japan, more specifically to Kyoto. The Bistro, from Park Hyatt's well-known hotel chain, asked/u00a0Mitsutaka Nakao/u00a0studio to design the takeaway boxes./u00a0
Some days on our way home, we find ourselves walking by a very tempting shop window, obviously with a homemade smell that conquers our stomach. Once we bought the food, we wondered where all the magic we've seen has gone. Fortunately, Park Hyatt takeout mystic is still intact./u00a0
Thanks to Mitsutaka Nakao's design, which seems to be picnic-inspired. Green and white, and red and white distinctive checked pattern is what gives us the picnic imprint. Although the packaging is from a fancy, high-quality restaurant, designers managed to keep it sophisticated and elegant yet fresh with a sweet and playful aesthetic./u00a0
All in all, we love the overall morphology of the two kinds of boxes and the friendly approach they have. The design brings a jolly feeling, and we believe there's no better container to carry your food home or to the park. If you ever find yourself in Kyoto, don't doubt passing by and ordering something from Park Hyatt's restaurant, The Bistro./u00a0
