Festa Verdaguer is a literary festival inspired by Spanish writer Jacint Verdaguer's work. The festival is centred around poetry, participation and dynamism, but foremost it aims to convey the concept of /u2018territory/u2019 through literature.
The branding for the festival, created by Barcelona-based studio Partee Design, draws upon Verdaguer/u2019s love for his land and the nature surrounding it. Partee Design took inspiration from Verdaguer/u2019s continual references to territories merged with descriptions of trees, plants and flowers.
Partee Design sought to reflect this in their design in a subtle and fresh way. They created a paper pulp made from Verdaguer/u2019s poems, so that in the texture of the paper the viewer is just about able to make out letters and words from the poet/u2019s work. This texture was applied to an autumnal leaf illustration used on posters and leaflets for the festival. /u00a0
