Lithuanian Culture Institute is a public institution established by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania to strengthen the presence of Lithuanian culture on the international stage. By promoting Lithuanian culture and professional arts abroad, the Institute creates opportunities for international collaboration between artists, cultural professionals, and organisations, while representing the country’s cultural interests worldwide.

As an institution dedicated to presenting Lithuanian culture to the world, the Institute needed a visual identity that would better reflect the scale, relevance, and contemporary nature of its work. Its activities span cultural presentation programmes, translation initiatives, international visits, and cooperation with cultural attachés — but the existing expression lacked a distinctive, flexible system capable of communicating that broad scope. To meet that need, andstudio set out to build a system equal to the Institute’s ambition.

The new identity is built around the metaphor of resonance — the moment when Lithuanian culture meets international audiences at a shared frequency and creates the strongest impact. This idea shaped a contemporary visual language designed to express connection, spread, and cultural exchange, while preserving the essence of the Institute’s mission.

Inspired by the logo, andstudio developed a digital brush as the core graphic tool, letting the system grow through blocky graphics, scatter compositions, a stylised font, and symmetrical elements. As a result, the brand became more dynamic, recognisable, and open — reflecting a culture that travels, connects, and resonates across borders.
