Nirvana CPH X Nanushka

At Mindsparkle Mag, we love featuring studios that raise the bar in design, and Nirvana CPH does just that. Known as “the secret production partner behind some of luxury and fashion’s biggest brands,” according to Wallpaper magazine, Nirvana CPH blends pioneering material-driven design approach, creative vision and manufacturing expertise seamlessly.

Their recent collaboration with Any Other Name focused on an extensive packaging suite re-design for Nanushka. The Budapest-based fashion brand, celebrated for its contemporary womenswear, menswear, and accessories, is a testament to Nirvana CPHs’ prowess.

The project is a testament for eco-conscious, luxury packaging. The suite features custom-sized paper retail bags, rigid scarf boxes, a precision-engineered leather goods box, tailored receipt holders, branded hangtags, tissue paper, stickers, and thank you cards. Each element was carefully designed to ensure mas production scalability while preserving Nanushka’s commitment to premium quality and sustainability.

The project began with in-depth material research and sustainability audits, enabling Nirvana’s Insights team to curate the most relevant colours, materials, and finishes for the desired, elevated aesthetic.

This process is a testament to Nirvana CPH’s dedication to environment, responsible production practices as well as ability to build sustainable packaging strategy whilst retaining brand’s signature look and feel.

For Nanushka, the team at Nirvana CPH crafted sustainable paper handles that aligned with the brand’s signature colour palette and incorporated a high-gloss ‘Moonbeam’ accent colour that added a touch of sophistication.

Months of collaboration with design partners at Any Other Name led to meticulous rounds of prototyping, perfecting material swatches, and ensuring each sample met the brand’s exacting standards. Highlights of the packaging included the ‘X’ design debossed on retail bags and the chiselled, black gloss foil logo, flawlessly applied to amplify the brand’s visual identity.

The result is a cohesive, recyclable packaging suite that elevated the unboxing experience whilst honouring brands sustainable ambitions. It’s perfectly aligned with Nirvana CPH’s principles as a B-Corp, focusing on Planet, Product, and People. This collaboration underlines why top fashion and luxury brands rely on Nirvana CPH to bring their creative visions to life. Their inspiring portfolio also includes projects for Adidas, Dunhill, and Bang & Olufsen.
