Jen Lu turns her portfolio, Jen Lu, into a joyful red-on-white romp that reads more like a zine than a résumé. Bouncy hand-lettering, circular spinning type and little line drawings — a gummy bear, a pointing hand, a stamp — scatter down the page beneath the tagline “A collection of projects by Jen Lu.” The single scarlet ink colour ties the cheerful chaos together, while phrases like “Weird Premium” and “creative mutant at Droga5” set an irreverent tone. It is personality-first design, unafraid to be strange and funny. A delightful mix of illustration and expressive typography.
