Florian Wacker strips his portfolio at florianwacker.de back to the essentials, and the result is all the more striking for it. A pale grey canvas is left almost entirely bare, save for a modest 'Index' label, a date stamp and a single toggle tucked into the corner. Dominating the lower half, his name and the tagline 'Text & Code' are set in enormous, confident black sans-serif that leaves no doubt about the craft on offer. The generous emptiness turns the typography itself into the hero of the page. It is a disciplined, editorial approach to web design that says a great deal with very little.
