Kalok Yeung is a design director focused on digital, leading projects where creative direction meets interaction. He works with brands, studios and creative teams to craft digital experiences that feel intuitive by design and are always built with intention. His new portfolio puts that thinking into practice on his own work.
The website design is deliberately minimal, so every project can be shown as large as possible. A slim column on the left lists projects such as i-D Magazine, See You Later and Micaiah Carter, and choosing one fills the stage with the work itself, letting visitors get close and take in the details. Projects change through a pixelation effect that Yeung developed closely with the developers, breaking each image into blocks before it resolves.
A small feed widget in the corner adds personality alongside the work. It is a place to share things he comes across or enjoys, from street photography and a cat on a wall to glossy 3D lettering, and Yeung led the art direction of the 3D models himself, from their forms to their materials. The site was built in Next.js and TypeScript with friends credited across development, motion, logo, 3D and sound.
