Angello Torres describes himself as a freelance graphic artist, and his portfolio is a gleeful maximalist collage that lives up to the billing. A warm sand-coloured canvas hosts a clash of styles — chunky blue bitmap lettering, an elegant orange serif declaring the work “Chaotic, Daring But Above All, Incisive,” and a giant pink outlined “Whispering Sea” bleeding off the lower edge. Olive marks, an orange asterisk motif and stray Japanese characters add to the eclectic, more-is-more energy. It is a bold, expressive piece of graphic design where competing typography styles become the main event.
