
Designer Lotta Nieminen created the monochrome branding for Happy Bones, a New York-based coffee shop with a New Zealand heart. The cafe offers speciality coffees as well as local art and global publications. As the logo is to be applied across a variety of products, Lotta Nieminen opted for a design that is simple yet recognizable – The resulting logotype is based on a modified stencil typeface, which is also an abstract interpretation of bones. The brand colour palette is reduced to black and white, acting as a neutral canvas to the frequent art showcases and collaborations paired with the identity.
