Yuin Chien created this playful website to present MAX, a typeface design. On a clean white page, the word MAX is set in chunky, rounded coral-red letterforms that look soft and almost inflatable, with small circular counters and bulbous terminals. Everything else is kept to the essentials: a column of small dots on the left for moving between slides, and two circles in the top corner, one outlined in red and one solid black. With so little around it, the type design itself becomes the star of the page. It is a charming and joyful showcase of how much personality a display font can bring to typography.
