the kitchen created FCK RCSM PSTR, a poster platform in support of the Black Lives Matter movement, and its design speaks with clarity and urgency. The page is pure black and white, led by a massive, wide sans-serif headline stacked over three lines. Two columns titled About and Manifesto explain the idea in a bold, rounded display face, inviting visitors to download the posters for free, print them and take them to the streets. As the site itself explains, the website and every poster use typefaces designed by African-American designers only, which makes the typography part of the message. fckrcsm is a strong reminder that design can be a tool for change.
