Ephraim Joseph designed his portfolio to live up to its own promise. The site opens with a glitchy, VHS-like hero in saturated greens, reds and blues, over which a large, clean white headline declares “My job is to help brands cut through the noise.” Below, the mood switches to pure black, where a featured campaign case study for eBay is presented with a crimson product shot of a phone and sneakers. A grid of white client logos, including Sony Music, Warner Bros., Hitachi and Shutterfly, sits under the heading “Brands I’ve served”. Bold contrast, confident type and a touch of digital distortion make this a memorable piece of web design.
