/u2018Lighthouse/u2019 is a series of furnishing accessories created by designers Massimo Colonna and Martina Malventi. Colonna and Malventi created a series of objects inspired by lighthouses which focus on the concept of /u2018transforming architecture/u2019, involving the past and present.
Different elements such vases, lamps, mirrors, lids and containers are combined to create cylindrical shapes and flat disks that form the structure of a lighthouse. These structures are placed in the context of the seaside, with blue shadows and reflections that emulate the movement of waves, wind and light.
This project was submitted for a competition held by Cerasarda, an Italian ceramics manufacturer celebrating Mediterranean craftsmanship. The competition focused on the design of furnishing accessories, inspired by lighthouses.
