Creative studio Illo designed more than 200 assets for Flowe, an Italian fintech app with a passion for sustainability and gamification. Aiming to speak to a Generation Z audience, illo took the Flowe values and applied them to a coherent, recognizable illustration system that makes the brand stand out even more.

Green, natural elements blend perfectly with gaming visuals to reflect the brand’s identity throughout an entire system of static or animated illustrations. The color palette focuses on the bank’s sustainable approach, whilst keeping an urban, fresh touch: lively shades of green mix with dark colors and hints of glow, for a contrasting, catchy look. In order to render the experience even more immersive and personal, the studio also created a main character, the Witcher, acting as a guide throughout the app’s functions.

From real life objects to over 70 badges, hand gestures for a more human approach, various character designs or user profiles, illo embellished and enhanced the app with an entire world of vibrant, relatable visuals. The illustration system also steps into the “real” world, with the colorful, playful design of Flowe’s debit card for a very young audience.
