Deep Purple – whoosh! album cover

jekyll & hyde designed deep purple – whoosh! album cover. The cover artwork is the result of a long research, a real travel jekyll & hyde studio made to identify the image that would represent Deep Purple’s vision of today’s world and the role they play in the history of rock music. That’s how the idea of the transitory nature of humanity was born. A traveler, of space and time, is in fact the main character of the cover: his presence is absence at the same time, he is crumbling and dispersing like dust blowing away in the wind on a desert planet under a gloomy sky. The studio have chosen a picture able to tell the moment of a story. Some could say it’s ending… But there’s no doubt it’s an image that is able to leave open interpretation to the viewer’s questions.
